Description
Cae Glas is a roughly L-shaped range of buildings that includes a former farmhouse facing the road, stables running parallel to its rear, and a threshing barn located corner-to-corner at the southeast of the stable range. There is also a small detached outbuilding to the southwest. The buildings are constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone and feature slate roofs.
The former farmhouse is a single-storey structure, likely with a loft, and has a rear outshut. It includes integral stacks at each gable end with brick shafts. There are inserted garage doors on the left side and a boarded door on the right. A small loft light is present in the right-hand gable return. The stable range, which runs parallel to the rear of the farmhouse, is also lofted and features boarded doors for both upper and lower levels at each gable end, with a window next to each lower doorway. Attached to the rear is a lower parallel gabled range.
The threshing barn has wide opposing doorways on each long wall, with two ventilation slits on each side. There is a loft opening in the left gable end. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
