Description
Awel-y-mor is a single-storey building with a loft, featuring a two-room plan that runs roughly from north-east to south-west. Attached to the right (south-west) gable end is a former cowhouse, which shares the same roofline and is now part of the domestic accommodation. There is a lean-to structure attached to the gable end of the former cowhouse, as well as a catslide outshut at its rear. The original part of the house also has a lean-to at the back, which has been remodelled in the 20th century and extends down from the ridge. The exterior is made of painted, roughly coursed rubblestone and has a graded slate roof.
On the main elevation, there are four-paned sash windows on either side of a central 20th-century glazed door. The building features integral end stacks, with the right stack located at the junction with the former cowhouse, which has a small 20th-century window to its right. A small window to the left of the left end stack provides light to the loft. The interior was not accessible during the survey.
