Description
This is a late 18th century milestone associated with the turnpike road that was established in the 1790s. It is a roughly-shaped, round-headed slate stone that is set into a rubblestone boundary wall by the roadside. The stone is inscribed with the text "C. CURIG/ 6 M. 5 1/2 F./ CARNARVON/ 11M."
