Description
Pentre Gwyn is a farmhouse built from limewashed uncoursed rubblestone, with rendering on the rear and left gable end. It stands at two storeys high and originally featured a three-bay layout, which has been extended to the left by an additional wide single bay, evident from a straight joint. The house has Victorian four-pane sash windows with slate cills located to the left and right of the originally central entrance, which has a plain boarded door. Above the door is a roundel framed in limewashed brick, with traces of a painted fictive window. The extension also has Victorian sashes with slate cills on both floors. There are rendered integral end stacks, with the larger stack on the right and a former end stack that has been converted to a ridge stack at the junction of the two phases of the house. To the right gable end, there is a two-storey lean-to, possibly a stable, which features a roundel above a boarded door. The interior was not accessible during the survey.
