Description

Pont y Betws is a bridge constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone, featuring stone-on-edge coping. It has four arches: two to the north-west, with one to the south-east being segmental, while the remaining arch is taller and semi-circular. All arches are constructed with voussoirs and arch-rings, and there are three cutwaters on the south side. The inner face of the north parapet above the semi-circular arch is inscribed with "HENRY PARY 1777".
