Description
Ty-isaf is a farmhouse constructed from whitewashed rubble stone, topped with a close-eaved slate roof and featuring rendered brick end stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a double-fronted design, with the facade significantly offset to the right. Each floor has a small 4-pane sash window on either side of a large stone gabled porch. The windows to the left of the porch have unusually long stone sills. The porch itself contains a brick doorway with a cambered head, which is also offset to the right, and features a six-panel door, two of which are glazed.
To the left, there is a short lower service wing that was rebuilt in the 19th century, constructed with brick on the upper floor and featuring a brick left end stack. This wing has a 4-pane sash window on each floor to the left and a boarded door to the right. The right end wall of the farmhouse is roughcast. The rear outshut is whitewashed and includes a tiny window to the left, a boarded-over 2-light window to the left of centre with an oak lintel, a narrow window under the eaves in the centre, and a boarded window just right of centre. The service wing has a 12-pane sash window on the first floor to the left, and the corner is made of brick. The interior was not available for inspection at the time of the survey.
