Description
This is a storage barn located to the south of Fridd-isaf, constructed from roughly coursed rubblestone on a boulder plinth, topped with a slate roof. The barn features an entrance through a doorway on the left side of the south wall and an upper-level hatch with a boarded door on the east gable end.
The raising of the eaves is clearly visible. Inside, the roof structure consists of four bays supported by three A-frame trusses. The eastern truss is the earliest, dated 1612 by an inscription, and features mortise and tenon jointing. The other trusses have collars that are pegged to the face of the principal rafters. The western truss is inscribed with the date 1912, marking the year the eaves were raised, which includes the boarded rafters, single purlins, and ridge piece. The barn has a slate floor.
