Description
This is a single-storey barn located to the south of Hendre Fridd y Mynach, constructed from rubble with a slated roof and featuring gable parapets. The lower rear wall is set into a slope. There is an outside stone stepped access leading to the west gable entrance, which is covered by a long lintel. The long side of the barn is attached to the left side of a high rubble wall, with a boarded primary entrance and a modern garage opening to the right.
The barn has four bays and three early roof trusses, including one pegged cruck truss with an arched collar, which is supported by a rough tie beam on the walls of the upper end. There are no wall plates, but timber lintels are present over boarded doorways flanking a cobbled through-passage. The two lesser trusses also have pegged-on collars, similar to the main truss. A bressummer beam divides the lower end, which was originally floored. The barn features various ventilation slits.
