Description
The former farmhouse at Felin Newydd is a 2-storey building constructed from local rubble, topped with a slate roof and featuring square-headed openings. On the right side, there is a low chimney stack with weather coursing on the gable end, which is above a derelict lean-to. The main facade has an off-centre entrance flanked by windows, along with two additional windows located under the eaves; all openings are currently unglazed. To the left, there is a gabled cross-range that is open to the rear and the north side, which serves as a hay barn. There is external stepped access leading to an upper entrance on the main gabled front, with another ground-floor entrance located beyond it. The main fireplace bressummer bears the inscription 'R W V 1796', indicating it was associated with Robert Williames Vaughan of Nannau.
