Description
The Old House at Felindre is a 2-storey building constructed of rubble stone with a pebble-dashed front. It features a stone-tile roof and a stone stack on the left side. The openings are offset to the right side of the house. The doorway includes a 19th-century door with Gothic arched panels. The windows are 2-light casements set in their original openings beneath the eaves on the upper storey, except for the lower left window, which has been enlarged and is framed in iron.
Originally, the house consisted of two units on the lower storey, and there is evidence of a former partition indicated by a poorly preserved cross beam to the right of the doorway. Another cross beam features run-out stops. The fireplace is topped with a cambered timber lintel, and the structure includes a single collar-beam truss secured with wooden pegs.
