Former Cottages at Cororion

The former cottages at Cororion are a single-storey building with a two-room layout, oriented roughly from north-east to south-west. Attached to the north-east end is a two-storey section, also with a two-room plan, following the same alignment. The structure is built from roughly coursed rubblestone, with significant areas of rendering, particularly on the single-storey part, and features graded slate roofs.

The single-storey unit has small four-paned sash windows with slate cills and lintels, flanking a slightly offset boarded door that also has a slate lintel. To the right, there is a rendered integral end stack, beyond which is a lower addition that now has a tin roof and a large 20th-century metal garage door at the front.

The symmetrical two-storey unit features a central four-panel door with a slate lintel, flanked by four-pane sash windows with slate cills and lintels. Above, there are two eaves windows, similar in size to those in the single-storey section, with the right window being a four-paned sash and the left a 20th-century replacement. The building has integral end stacks and shows evidence of an earlier roof pitch on the left gable end.

The interior was not accessible during the survey, but it was noted that the single-storey section retains a croglofft and a stone cross partition that rises to the roof.
