Description
Caeronwy-isaf is a long single-storey building, aligned roughly north-south. Each unit consists of a two-room plan cottage with an outbuilding between the two cottages and another attached to the south gable end, all under a continuous roof line. The exterior is made of roughly coursed rubblestone with traces of limewash on the front (west) elevation, and it has a slate roof. Each cottage features four-paned sash windows with slate cills, positioned to the left and right of a slightly offset doorway; the doorway of the right cottage is deeply recessed. There are four purple brick stacks with corbelled capping: one is integral to the left gable end, two are centrally located on the ridge (with the outbuilding between), and one is at the junction with the south outbuilding, marked by a straight joint. The rear of the building has a wide opening, possibly for a cart, to the far left, along with twelve-paned sashes to the left and right and a top-hung window in the center. The interior was not accessible at the time of the survey.
