Description

The Locomotive Shed is a building constructed with regularly coursed slate slabs and features a slate roof that has exposed rafter feet and an integral end stack at the south-east gable. It has a rectangular plan and includes one tall entrance and one lower entrance, both fitted with steel lintels, located at the north-west gable end. The south-east gable end has a 12-light horizontal window. Adjacent to the shed is an iron tank positioned on a slate plinth, which was used for supplying water to the locomotives. The roof is designed in two bays and supported by a central A-frame truss.
