Description
Croft House in Rothiemurchus is a picturesque two-storey house built between 1812 and 1814 by Elizabeth and Jane Grant. It features an irregular three-bay design with a single-storey wing over a raised basement at the south. The west-facing front has a nearly central door located in a catslide outshot of the right projecting gable. The ground floor includes a three-light window, while the first floor has two-light fenestration. The rear of the house has similar fenestration and an additional catslide roof extension. The windows are fitted with lattice pane glazing, and the house has end and wallhead stacks. The roof is made of graded local slate and has deep projecting joisted eaves.
