Description
The Old Manse, associated with the Church of Scotland in Rothiemurchus, was designed by Thomas Telford in 1830. This single-storey, symmetrical dwelling features a U-shaped plan with five bays. The exterior is finished in white harling with self-coloured painted tooled ashlar margins and a renewed base course. The central entrance door is flanked by sash windows with four-pane glazing. The building has a pair of coped tooled granite ridge stacks and piended local slate roofs that have slightly projecting eaves. A later lean-to extension has been added to the northeast side.
