Description
The Old Parish Church and Burial-Ground in Rothiemurchus was built in 1830 on an earlier site and incorporates parts of a previous church. The structure is currently roofless and gutted. It features a rectangular shape with a symmetrical four-bay front, which has square-headed windows. There are entrance porches located at the center rear and at the west gable, along with a pedimented bellcote at the apex of the west gable.
The burial ground includes an enclosure granted by Rothiemurchus, surrounded by a low coped wall topped with cast-iron spearhead railings. Within the burial ground, there are various tombs, primarily dating from the 19th and 20th centuries.
