Description

Waterloo Cairn in Kinrara is a memorial built in August 1815 to honor Robert Macara of the 42nd Royal Highlanders, Colonel John Cameron of the 92nd or Gordon Highlanders, and their brave countrymen who fell at the Battle of Waterloo in June 1815. The cairn is constructed from granite rubble and features an ashlar basket-arched niche with an inset inscribed plaque.
