2 Janet Street, Thurso

2 Janet Street in Thurso is a house built between 1800 and 1810. It is a two-storey building with an attic and features a wide three-bay design that has undergone significant repairs. The front is made of tooled ashlar stone with polished ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins.

The central bay is slightly advanced and has an entrance beneath a wide decorative fanlight and a lintel course, flanked by narrow blind sidelights. The first-floor window in the center also has blind sidelights. The ground floor windows are longer, and there is a band course above the outer first-floor windows. The house has a bracketed eaves cornice and a central blocking course, along with two piended dormers. The glazing is in two panes, and there are small gable attic windows at the center. The house has corniced end stacks and a slate roof.

To the left, there is a single-storey, two-bay wing that is rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, featuring modern glazing and a slate roof.
