Description
Athole House is a mid-Victorian detached villa located at 31 Kenilworth Road in Bridge of Allan. It features a large symmetrical design with a double-pile layout and parallel roofs, constructed from coursed rubble with Tudor-inspired details. The south-facing front has two storeys and three windows, with slightly advanced gable ends. The ground floor includes canted bays with five lights, topped with plain parapets and blind round-headed slit windows in the gables. The central entrance has a depressed arch doorpiece with a stepped hoodmould. The east and west fronts each have two windows and are double-gabled, with corbelled chimney shafts. At the rear, there are single-storey wings, and the roofs are slated.
