47 Chalton Road is a mid-Victorian Renaissance detached villa set in extensive grounds. The building is two stories high with a basement and constructed from snecked rubble featuring raised quoins. The entrance front has a single window and a centrally located porch supported by coupled Ionic columns, topped with a balustraded parapet. This porch is flanked by advanced ends that include canted bays on all floors. The roof is low-pitched, piended, and slated.
