Description
18 Chalton Road is an early Victorian, two-storey, asymmetrical late classical detached villa. It is constructed of snecked rubble with raised quoins. The villa has an L-shaped front, with an advanced section on the left featuring a ground floor rectangular tripartite bay and a bipartite window on the first floor. The right side has a two-window arrangement with consoles, and there is a central porch supported by Doric columns, topped with a circled parapet that shelters a round-arched doorpiece in the re-entrant angle. The building is finished with a plain entablature, a main cornice, and a slated piended roof. Additionally, there is a conservatory on the east gable, which has an elongated square-dome roof.
