Description
Iona Lodge is a villa located at 17 Kenilworth Road in Bridge of Allan, dated 1848. It is built from coursed rubble and features two stories plus an attic, with a three-window front. The slightly advanced central entrance bay has a gable with a blind round-arched attic window. The ground floor includes canted bays and a central doorpiece, with hoodmoulded openings. There are two pedimented stone-faced dormers on the roof, which is slated and has two-window gables with arched attic windows; however, the eastern gable is marred by a fire escape. At the rear, there is a lower two-storey northwest wing that features a canted bay extending through both floors. The villa retains its original glazing throughout.
