Walker House, 9 Wellington Street, Dundee

Walker House, located at 9 Wellington Street in Dundee, is a villa dating from around 1840. It is a two-storey building with a basement and attic, constructed from snecked rubble.

The south elevation features a prominent canted bay that rises through two stories and is topped with a piended roof. To the left of the bay, there are two single windows. The roof also includes a three-light dormer. The side elevations are plain and have gable end stacks, with a low service wing on the west side that is partly brick.

The north elevation has four windows and includes a central porch that was added around 1870. This porch has a round-headed doorway, two segmental arched windows, and a cornice. Most of the windows in the villa are 12-pane sash and case.

Inside, there are some partitions, the original fanlight above the front door, some plaster cornices, and a cast-iron bannister.
