Airthrey Croft, 39 Kenilworth Road, Bridge Of Allan

Airthrey Croft is a large, detached mansion house built in the mid-Victorian period, designed in a free-Gothic style. The building is two stories with an attic and features a symmetrical front made of coursed rubble. The front has double-gabled sections with two-storey canted bays that have fish-scaled roofs. Above these bays are attic windows with depressed arches. The central bay is recessed and has a gabled porch with a depressed arch, and there is a timber-faced dormer above it. On the eastern front, there is a later addition of a canted bay projection on the ground floor, which has a balustraded balcony above it. At the rear, there is a lower two-storey wing. The roofs are slated, and the gables are stepped at half their height.
