Description
49 Kenilworth Road is an asymmetrical detached Italianate villa built in 1869, constructed from snecked rubble with stop-chamfers. The building features a two-storey L-plan front and a three-storey entrance tower located in the re-entrant angle. To the left, there is a canted bay that extends through both floors. The tower includes a moulded doorpiece adorned with crests and the date, along with pairs of arched windows at the top stage. It is topped with a broad-eaved pyramid roof that has pendants at the angles. The main roof is low pitched, piended, and slated, with bracketed eaves. There is also a single-storey extension at the rear.
