2 Chalton Road, Bridge Of Allan

2 Chalton Road is a mid-Victorian villa that stands two stories high with an attic and basement. The building features a symmetrical design and is constructed from coursed rubble with raised quoins. The front facade has three windows, with two tripartite windows in the center, one of which is round-arched and keyblocked. The entrance is a round-arched doorpiece supported by columns and elaborately consoled, topped with a balustraded balcony. There are railed steps leading up to the entrance, and the openings are chamfered with slightly shouldered edges. Decorative bargeboarding adds detail, and there are two small shouldered windows in the gables at the attic level, along with a central dormer. The south front mirrors the twin-gabled design and includes two canted bays over two stories, with small Venetian windows above at the attic level, maintaining a similar style. The roof is slated and has a platform between the chimneys. Additionally, there is a single-storey east wing that has been clumsily raised to two stories at a later date.
