9 Snowdon Place, Stirling

9 Snowdon Place is a mid-Victorian, large detached villa with an asymmetrical design, featuring two stories and a basement, constructed from coursed rubble. It is set in extensive grounds. The entrance front has a balanced yet asymmetrical elevation, highlighted by a central three-story and attic entrance tower with a porch supported by coupled square columns. Above the porch are stilted triplets of windows, and the tower is topped with a steep French pavilion roof that has piended dormers above a bracketed cornice. To the right, there is a two-window section with a lower French pavilion roof and a tall quadruple-shaft chimney. The north front has advanced end bays with pavilion roofs, a canted bay on the left, and a tripartite rectangular bay on the right, with a two-window section in between and arched dormers. The west front features a two-window section and an advanced right-hand section with a pavilion roof and a canted bay, along with a gabled and arched dormer. The building has a main cornice and blocking course throughout, with platform slated roofs, although the wrought iron crestings have been removed.
