Description
This building, located at 4, 6, and 8 Well Road in Bridge of Allan, dates from around 1840 to 1850 and is a late Georgian villa. It is two stories tall with a basement and features an ashlar stone facade, a band course at the first floor, raised margins, and a rock-faced basement. The south front has a doorpiece supported by Ionic columns, with a railed staircase leading up to it, and one first-floor window situated between two canted bays at the ends. The west front has three windows and an off-centre doorpiece with Ionic pilasters and railed steps. The building has twin chimneys at the wall heads and a piended, slated roof. The original glazing with lying panes is preserved, except for the lower sashes of the upper flat.
