Description
Well House, part of the Allan Water Hotel, was built in 1861 by William Mackison. This Gothic-style building is a single-storey structure with a basement. It features a rubble-built exterior and has an advanced open center gabled porch with a pointed and hood-moulded front arch. The flank of the building has shouldered openings that lead into two-bay verandahs, which shelter bipartite windows. There is an oriel bay on the north gable. The roofs are slated with barge boarded gables. To the south, there is a large modern flat-roofed addition.
