Description
Friarsview is an earlier 19th century, two-storey, three-bay villa located at 13 Friar's Lane in Lanark. The front of the building features stugged sandstone coursers, while the rear is constructed from rubble. It has cream sandstone dressings and a grey slate roof. Notable architectural details include a base course, eaves course, margined angles, and margined quoins around the windows, which are fitted with four-pane timber sash and case frames. The roof has ashlar-coped skews and corniced end stacks.
The front elevation showcases a panelled door at the center, which is adorned with an astragalled fanlight, cavetto-moulded jambs, and a pilastered and corniced doorpiece. There are windows on both the left and right sides of the door, as well as three windows on the first floor.
The interior has not been seen, and the property is enclosed by rubble boundary walls.
