Description

Architect: Mr Kerr. 1902. 2-storey, with 3-storey tower,

3 irregular bays; Scottish Baronial. Coursed rubble with

red sandstone quoins and dressings. At left, door recessed

under round-headed arch with deep moulded reveals; heavy

bracketted balcony above with ball finials (1 missing).

2 deep set round-headed windows to right with a cill

course, date stone in the central spandrel. String course

above. 1 single transomed light over door; to right,

tripartite mullion and transom window with stepped

hoodmould under crowstepped gable, blind trefoil below

apex and ball finial. Crowstepped gables, slate roof with

decorative ridge tiles. Angle tower at right with single

light at ground and 1st floor, 2 round-headed lancets

with hoodmoulds in 2nd. Strings between each storey.

Cornice and conical slate roof with iron finial. 1 bay on

west return elevation with door and 1 window, bipartite

in 1st floor.
