Description
12 Murray Street in Duns is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that now operates as a café on the ground floor. The exterior is rendered and lined, featuring a base and eaves course with regular window arrangements. The central door is flanked by slightly enlarged plate glass windows, while the gable end is blank. The rear elevation is not visible.
On the first floor, there are tilt and swing timber windows. The roof is covered with grey slates, and there are ashlar coped skews and a brick stack at the apex. At the rear, there is a rubble wall with boulder coping, and a gatepier from No 14 Murray Street abuts the gable.
