Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey 3-bay house with shop at ground. Render lined as ashlar with raised margins; harled to sides and rear.

N (MARKET SQUARE) ELEVATION: long and short rusticated quoins; base course; cill course at 1st floor. At ground, 3-bay shop to centre and right; glazed and panelled door at centre flanked by large square 3-pane shop windows; articulated by pilasters supporting full entablature abutting 1st floor cill course. Window to left (aligned with those above) with consoled cill and cornice. Windows to each bay of upper floors; enlarged at 2nd floor.

E ELEVATION: blank gable with small window to left at 1st floor; bargeboards. Low screen wall to left with access door.

S ELEVATION: irregular 3-bay; projecting single storey block at centre.

Timber sash and case windows; 12-pane, 4-pane to 2nd floor. Grey slates; rendered apex stack.
