Description
8-10 Murray Street in Duns is a late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay house that includes a shop on the ground floor. The exterior is rendered with painted margins. The central entrance features a panelled and glazed door, with a closet window immediately to the left and a window in the left bay. The right bay contains the shop, which has a door on the left and a large plate glass window on the right. Each bay has a window on the first floor.
The gable end has windows on both floors to the left. The rear elevation is adjacent to higher ground and is connected at right angles to No 6 Murray Street. To the left, there is a small opening at ground level, an enlarged window on the first floor, and a large modern box dormer.
The building has uPVC windows, a grey slate roof, ashlar coped skews, and an old red brick chimney stack at the apex.
