Description
71 George Street in Whithorn is a late 18th century, two-storey, three-bay house. The ground floor features four irregular openings, including a former shop window on the left. The exterior has modern roughcast walling with painted raised margins and a basecourse.
The entrance is off-centre and includes a fanlight above the door, which leads to a glazed vestibule door. To the extreme left, there is a pend door flanked by single light windows. The first floor has three single light windows, and there are two-storey and single-storey extensions at the rear.
All the windows are sash and case style with plate glass glazing. The building is equipped with cast-iron rainwater goods and has a slate roof.
