Description
70-72 George Street in Whithorn is a late 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay terraced house that features shop windows on the ground floor. The building is constructed of painted rubble with raised painted angles and window margins.
The central entrance has a modern door with a narrow fanlight, and it is flanked by two enlarged plate glass windows. To the far right, there is a pend door. On the first floor, there are three sash and case windows, each with 12-pane glazing.
The house has a band course and a moulded cornice at the eaves, along with graded slate roofs, sandstone skew stones, and slab skewputts. The end stacks are coped, and the guttering is supported by iron gallows brackets.
