Description
79 George Street in Whithorn is a pair of late 18th century, two-storey, four-bay asymmetrical houses that have been converted into a single dwelling known as No 79. The original door to the former neighbour is now a window. The exterior features harled walling with painted raised margins around the openings. There is an off-centre double doorpiece supported by four Doric columns and an entablature. To the left of the door is another door with raised margins and a fanlight, while to the right, the door has been converted into a window. Flanking the door are single light windows, and all windows are sash and case with plate glass glazing. The building has good graded slate roofs, although the stacks are missing.
