Description

87 George Street in Whithorn is a two-storey, two-bay house built in 1890. The building features rubble walling with polished red sandstone at the corners and raised margins around the openings. There are steps leading to the doorway on the right, which has a cast-iron handrail. The entrance includes a well-crafted panelled door with a fanlight above it. All the windows are single-light, sash and case style with plate glass glazing. The house has end skews, tall coped end stacks, and is topped with slate roofs.
