Description
This building, located at 97 George Street in Whithorn, dates from around 1800 and is a two-storey, four-bay house. It features a smooth rendered exterior with a raised basecourse, raised painted margins, and banded quoins.
The facade is regular, with a door positioned off-centre to the left. This door is a recessed modern design with a fanlight above it. There is one window to the left of the door, two to the right, and four on the first floor, with one of these being blind. All the windows are sash and case style with 12-pane glazing, while the two windows on the ground floor to the right have plate glass glazing.
Additional architectural details include a moulded eaves course, skews to the right, and tall corniced end and axial stacks topped with octagonal cans. The building is covered with good graded slate roofs.
