Description
Oxton Cottage is a late 18th century, two-storey, four-bay house that is part of an irregular terrace on Main Street in Town Yetholm. The building is rendered and features concrete surrounds around its openings, with a concrete base course and quoin strips.
On the entrance elevation, there is a doorway in the center with a window above it on the first floor. To the outer right, there are bipartite windows with timber mullions, while the outer left has a bipartite window at ground level and a single window above it on the first floor. The penultimate bay from the left also has a single window on the first floor.
The cottage has four-pane sash and case windows and is topped with a grey slate roof, featuring a brick mutual stack on the north side.
