Description

Arkle Cottage is a late 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that is part of an irregular terrace. The exterior is rendered with raised painted stone dressings. On the east elevation, there are doorways at the center, with a single window above on the first floor and additional windows in the outer left and right bays. The windows are 4-pane sash and case style. The roof is covered with grey slate and features brick mutual stacks. At the rear, there is a row of former stables and cartsheds that back onto the lane.
