Description
3 Bowmont Terrace is a mid-19th century, 2-storey, 2-bay house that is part of a stepped, irregular terrace. The building is constructed from squared and snecked whinstone, featuring cream sandstone dressings. It has long and short quions and dressings around single windows, with stop-chamfered reveals.
On the entrance elevation, there is an advanced modern porch on the outer left, which is flanked to the right by a single window. To the right, there is a full-height canted window in the bay, and a single window to the left at the first floor. The house showcases a variety of original glazing patterns in its sash and case windows. The roof is made of grey slate, and there are corniced brick mutual stacks.
At the rear, there is a row of former stables and cartsheds that back onto the lane.
