1 Bowmont Terrace, Town Yetholm

1 Bowmont Terrace is a mid-19th century, 2-storey, 3-bay house that marks the end of an irregular terrace on sloping ground. The building is constructed from squared and snecked whinstone, featuring cream sandstone dressings with long and short dressings.

On the east elevation, there is a central doorway with a panelled door and a letterbox fanlight above it, along with a window at the first floor directly above. The outer bays on the ground floor have bipartite windows, while the first floor features single windows on the left and right.

The north elevation includes a gabled bay with windows that are offset to the left. The house has 4-pane sash and case windows and a grey slate roof, which has a cat-slide to the rear. There is a corniced brick gablehead stack on the north side and a corniced mutual stack on the south side, with ashlar coped gables.

At the rear, there is a single-storey outbuilding with a pitched roof. The property is enclosed by coped rubble whinstone boundary walls along the streets.
