Balcherry, The Crescent, Town Yetholm

Balcherry is a mid 19th century, possibly renovated earlier property, located on The Crescent in Town Yetholm. This two-storey, three-bay house is part of an irregular terrace and is constructed from whinstone rubble with cream sandstone dressings. It features raised margins with long and short surrounds, as well as long and short quoins at the first floor.

On the east elevation, the entrance is centrally located and consists of a panelled door with a glazed upper panel and a letterbox fanlight above it. There is a window above the door on the first floor, and single windows are present in the outer bays on the left and right.

The west elevation includes a large lean-to addition. The house has 12-pane sash and case windows and is topped with a grey slate roof that sweeps down to the rear addition. Coped harled mutual stacks are located to the north and south.
