Hillcote, The Crescent, Town Yetholm

Hillcote is a mid to later 18th century, two-storey, three-bay cottage that is part of an irregular terrace. The exterior is harled, featuring a battered base course and deep-set windows.

On the entrance elevation, there is a modern open porch made of brick, timber, and glass in the central bay, with a raised surround to the doorway. The door is boarded with a glass panel. Above the doorway, there is a window on the first floor. The outer left and right bays each have a single window, and the first-floor windows are located under the eaves.

The cottage has plate glass sash and case windows and a grey slate roof that sweeps down to the ground floor at the rear. There is a corniced stone stack to the south and a coped harled mutual stack to the north, along with thackstanes.
