Description
Wauchope Hall, located on Main Street in Town Yetholm, was built in 1818 and originally served as a United Presbyterian Church. The building is two stories high with a symmetrical three-bay front. It is constructed from whinstone rubble and features polished sandstone dressings. The openings have raised margins with long and short surrounds, and the corners are accentuated with long and short quoins. The first floor showcases round-arched windows.
On the east elevation, there is a broad pilastered segmental-arched doorway at the center, which has a boarded door and a glass fanlight above it. A window is situated on the first floor directly above the doorway, with single windows in the outer bays on the left and right.
The south elevation features three full-height round-arched windows. The east side has modern patterned glass sash and case windows, and the roof is covered with corrugated sheet metal.
