Description
The Congregational Church, originally a Presbyterian Church, was built in 1877. It is constructed of squared stone with decorative dressings. The front features a gabled design with six steps leading up to a central boarded door, which is topped by a hoodmould with block terminals. This door is flanked by tall pointed windows set in raised stone surrounds, with a circular window in a similar surround above. The gable is coped and includes moulded kneelers. The left side of the building has three bays with windows that have flattened triangular heads. The rear elevation has similar window designs to those at the front.
