Description

WALLINGTON DEMESNE CORRIDGE NZ 08 SE NA 064836 14/188 Garden wall and dovecote/ privy to east of Corridge farmhouse II Garden wall and dovecote with privy. C18. Coursed rubble with dressings on external face, brick internal face. Slate roof to dovecote. Tall wall with flat coping runs east from east end of outbuilding (q.v.) then south to dovecote. 6-panel door in raised stone surround near dovecote. Dovecote is a 2-storey square structure; ground floor has flush-panelled door to earth closet, lit by 9-pane fixed window, in right return, both openings in raised stone surrounds. Plain opening for pigeons on rear face; pyramidal roof.

Interior: well-preserved twin-seated closet.
