Description
The garden wall and dovecote, which also serves as a privy, is located to the east of Corridge Farmhouse and dates from the 18th century. The structure features coursed rubble with dressings on the external face and a brick internal face. The dovecote has a slate roof. A tall wall with flat coping extends east from the east end of an outbuilding and then south to the dovecote. Near the dovecote, there is a 6-panel door set in a raised stone surround. The dovecote itself is a two-storey square building; the ground floor includes a flush-panelled door leading to an earth closet, which is illuminated by a 9-pane fixed window, both of which are in raised stone surrounds. There is a plain opening for pigeons on the rear face, topped with a pyramidal roof. Inside, there is a well-preserved twin-seated closet.
