Description
The dovecote, located in a field to the northwest of Priory Farmhouse, is a large cylindrical structure made of rubble stone, with remnants of roughcast. It features put-log holes and tall openings on the north and south sides, although the lintels are missing, and the northern opening has been broken open to the top of the wall. There is a low segmental-pointed door on the east side, which is constructed with stone voussoirs. The roof is stepped, corbelled, and domed.
Inside, the dovecote was once lined with square stone nesting boxes, but the stonework has since been removed. The interior also has a plastered dome with a cylindrical opening at the top.
