Willowbank, 6 Springhill Road, Peebles

Willowbank, located at 6 Springhill Road in Peebles, is a small, symmetrical house built in the early 19th century. It is two stories high and has three bays, with a white harl exterior featuring painted margins.

The front elevation has a central doorway that is sheltered by a plain, part-glazed timber porch, which leads to a two-leaf part-glazed panelled door. The windows are arranged in a regular pattern. There are also two cast-iron skylights on this elevation.

On the rear elevation, there is a two-storey canted projection at the center, which features a wallhead stack that may indicate a former inglenook addition. A lean-to addition is present at the ground floor. The windows are four-pane timber sash and case, and the roof is covered with slate, featuring apex stacks with thackstanes.

The interior was not seen during the inspection in 1994.
